poorly babe

my poor wee one!

she has raging tonsillitis and is really not coping well with it all.

so far today had a trip to docs, he said pussy very inflammed tonsils. any problems breaking temp or with breathing straight to a&e (she has asthma so particularly jumpie re breathing)

got home temp spiked to 39.9 and stayed there despite paracetamol and brufen. she startedd breathing very rapidly too (resp rate of 56, normal rate 25.)

so off we went to a&e theyve managed to get temp down to 38.9 so weve been allowed home with strict instructions if temp spikes to go straight back.

shes not a happy bear at the moment, really hoping she starts fighting it overnight.

Ow hunni was hoping she would get better through out the day me and Eloise suffer with tonsillitis, its awful make no wonder she feels so ill bless her.

What did they say about the tummy pains??

oh no how awful for her.i remember cara having this as a baby i think she was around 9 months and being told to walk up from the surgery with her in just a nappy to bring her temp down then she ended up in sick kids that night on a drip and sipositries(sp) as nothing else could bring her temp down.very scary indeed.hope things start to improve soon x

gp said the pain in her tummy is because her tonsils are dripping (TMI sorry) so its causing her tummy ache.

ive just been up to her coz she was coughing so much and she just looks so poorly.

if im really honest its all a bit frightening, i just want to take her temp and it be below 38...

Did the docs just give you calpol cause you can give iberfurin (sp) with calpol might bring it down quicker x x

ive been giving her both staggered, so she gets one of them rvry three hours.

ie, 6.30 nurofen
8.30 calopol (i know not three hours but hospital really wanted it down.)
11.30 nurofen
02.30 calpol etc

should work but it just isnt.

poor little thing, hope her temp comes down and she turns a corner soon.

It is sooo scary when there ill.

Is she asleep if your worried its not going down hun -phone NHS or take her bk down they know how to worry us don't they

bad night last night, she just jumped around all night, didnt settle at all, even jay is shattered this morning! temp undercontrol so far today though. (touchwood!)

guess what i have this morning.......... a really sore throat!
