hehe i know thats the best thing to do but what about the new sellers - if no one buys from them as they have no feed back then how do they build thier feed back up? lol!

I am a buyer and seller in about equal amounts. I have done nearly 1100 transactions in the last 3 years. I have only had 5 bad experiences out of all of them. You do have to be careful, and aware. There are things you have to watch out for, and ways of doing things to minimise problems. But I love it! In some of our bad times the ability to sell on there has really bailed us out!

ebay was fantastic when i was pregnant with tallulah - got some fab bargains (egg shaped ikea cot for £8, gorgeous carseat for £4 and loads of funky clothes) and once she grew out of sstuff i put it back on there to fund her next stage.

but recently ive had stuff go for pennies when its been worth a fortune and i got my first negative feedback in april from some bint who lied to me about posting a swim cossie for lulah which i wanted for our hols.

ive got some bits on there at the moment so fingers x'd it will pick up - got loads of lulhs clothes to put on but can i find the camera????

SUGAR = you can either do it as a collect in person only or get a quote from a courier - ive posted all manner of things and sometimes guessed the postage only to be left out of pocket - make sure you get the correct postage amount!!!

good luck chick

i agree sales are really down at the moment. ebay life is much better as a buyer right now than as a seller.

I've bought a few bits and bobs off there but my hubby has sold but we are going back about a year now.He has sold an oil radiator on there and put pick up only and we still had someone collect it and they were a good 20 miles away but they only paid a fiver for it so it was till worth their while.

I used to buy treats and toys for my rabbits on ebay as they were so much cheaper.

My issue with Ebay is...they charge you to list it, then charge you again if you sell your item, don't get that in the news paper ads, they don't ring you up after you sell your item and say - Oh, we notice your item sold, we now want a percentage of that sale thanks!...Ebay are greedy, pure and simple, they don't need to charge a final fee for sold items, they get enough from the listing fees...the greedy bastidges!

We're always buying and selling stuff on ebay. You just have to check the sellers feed back to see if they're reliable; and if you pay using paypal then ebay's insurance covers you if stuff is damaged or not as described.
