This article from Money Saving Expert might help:,66754,

I've found the site to be really good before, as Martin Lewis who runs it (You've prob seen him on telly) despises big greedy companies, and his advice is always really down to earth!
Good luck Smile

I wish we could do that online here. We would have to have a inspector look over the house to start a policy like that.

I've just spent the past week doing car insurance quotes for my dad and I was amazed at the difference in price. He was originally quoted over £300 by his current insurer. Cheapest I found online was £175, dearest was over £400. How on earth do they get away with it? Mad

Buttercup, we don't have contents insurance atm, so just going to check out Nationwide. xx
