Just wondered if any of you are up for contract rental with broadband? Orange have a great deal at the minute £14.99 month for 2 years and free laptop. However when I phoned aol (my current provider) they have offered me an amazing deal! Very happy
£14.99 a month:
Wireless broadband
AOL talk (free evening/weekend calls)
DEL laptop (much better spec than orange one)

I'm shocked, we've been paying £17.99 a month for crap speed broadband and this is much better speed wireless broadband and a free laptop for much less a month! Tounge Out

Apparantly Orange broadband is quite poor though according to a huge amount of reviews on the net. Nice offer though!

Well I am not with Orange I used to be with freeserve and Orange brought them out but then I changed cus it was awful. I am now with virgin and debating now if to go onto cable cus I will get a better speed on the net also, so many deals at present.

I'll beieve it when i collect my laptop which could be a couple of weeks apparently. Just waiting to get all the info through the post as i was struggling to tell exactly what the guy on the phone was saying....why do they always have really strong acents Teeth

Orange broadband is getting worse and worse, friend of mine has been without internet service from them for 2 weeks now and customer service has been feeding him the worst excuses ever, go with Orange Broadband at your own risk!! and as Joe said above, you'll be stuck with it for 2 years, 2 years of poor service, is it worth the effort?...not in the slightest.

I'm with Tiscali and the connection speed and reliability has been fine for most of the time but the customer service was a nightmare when I did have a problem. As it's a foreign call centre, they just have a list of set questions to ask you and if your query doesn't fit any of their tick boxes you just end up going round the houses for ages. Teeth
I would consider movign to another provider once my contracts up just to avoid that experince again! Mad

Hi, i gave them a call and asked for my puk number (to leave aol) they asked why and i mentioned the orange deal. Thats when they said they could better it. Its worth a try, they should offer you something to stay and if they don't nothing terrible lost just phone back the next day and say you've changed your mind.
