Hiya Ladies, I am new and am desperate for your advice

Basically i have been off the pill for around a year and my periods have been slightly irregular. 1st June last month exactly 4 weeks after my last one, I had AF again but it was non existent, more brown in colour and only lasted a day.

I am now 3 weeks overdue for my July period which is quite strange, I have done 1 pregnancy test about 10 days ago and it was neg, rang the nurse at my doctors surgery and she recommended i do another. did this 2 days ago and yet again negative (i did both later afternoon)

About 10 days ago I had unbearable sore nips and am still having all the period pains and cramps but no AF. I have had metallic tastes in my mouth but cannot understand these neg pregnancy tests. The abdominal pain last night was horrid but not too bad this morning.

Do you think I am pregnant, any advise please? I am beside myself as I smoke and drink and if I am want to obviously stop this.

Waiting for the nurse to call me to make an appt but just wondered if any of you could give me your advice.

My only advice is to wait for the nurse to phone back, maybe the doctor can do a stronger test for you.

You shouldn't wait to find out if you are pregnant to stop smoking and drinking- you should just do (just incase )

yes of course, i have been with my husband for 14 years so i would be happy but scared

sounds like you could defo be preggers. i had exactly the symptons you describe before i got a positive test. Sore Nips was the very first thing, then the cramp like period pains (which carried on for several months). Fingers crossed for you, do let us know how you get on XX

oh did you cathy, were you home pregnancy tests negative hun too, did you only get a positive from the doctor? Also will they be able to tell me bythe internal examination as thats what they want to do xx

Thanks for the welcome, i am so scared because i have period like pains for the last few days and they want to do an internal examination, does anybody know if they can detect pregnancy through this examination?

I don't think so unless you're really far along but I could be wrong. I had what seemed like a normal period the first month I was pregnant with Aaralyn and then spotting and cramps into about the 8th week and thought I was getting another period... then I found out I was pregnant

i've jsut had a relaxing bath to calm down and just noticed these white spots around my nipple area?????? help

That could be a normal pregnancy thing too. Try to keep relaxing before your appointment and you'll get some answers there. If you are preggie, you need to not stress as much as possible (yea right, huh!). Hopefully you'll find out you are and then take it from there hun

hi, as everyone has said, try to stay chilled. Im not sure why they are doing an internal. If you think you are pregnant you could push for a blood test. Let us know how you get on, thinking of you x

Is this (if you are) your first pregnancy? I just wanted to say about the smoking and drinking thing, I was 2 months pregnant before I found out and I was a smoker and I went to concert (Ozz Fest) while I was preg and didn't know it and got completely sh t faced. I was scared to death and told my Dr about it when I found out I was and the response was many pregnant woman do things that shouldn't when they don't know they are pregnant and lots of healthy babies come out as a result so don't worry. I don't think it had any effect on Aaralyn but I did quit smoking when I found out and didn't drink after either. But being the dum dum that I am I started smoking again after I stopped breastfeeding her even though I never though I would
