My boyfriend moved in with me yesterday, so I went to the job center and now because I'm not a lone parent, I can't get income support I've got to claim Job seekers. Just been on the phone to one of the people, the call was an hour long, asking me loads of questions, grr I hate them, lol. Now have a head ache!!!

Does anyone else get job seekers??

you have to show that you are actively seeking employment hun. If you have no intention of going to work you wont get it

Basically if your bloke has moved in with you it is presumed he will now be supporting your family. If you have no intention of working you'll live off his wage and tax credits. The only way you could get other benefits would be if he could not work and had proof of this. There's no point claiming job seakers and then not getting a job coz they'd probably make you pay it back Sad Face

Well my BF is going back to college in Sept, I've said I will be available for work, my parents told me just to get a job or a few hours as I can be on job seekers and do up to 16 hours.

Thanks for what you've said, this benefit stuff just really confuses me!
