hey all just wondered if anyone knew anywhere i could get a cheap double buggy from, preferably side by side 1,

just i am going to start having my mates daughter, 5 months old, 2 days a week while she works and would be easier for me to have a double buggy rather than 2 singles if ya see my point,

dont want to spend to much on 1 but just dont know where to look! xxx

Ebay would be your best bet or http://www.kiddicare.com/

Please dont take offence at this but your friend would be better off using registered care as she can claim 80% of childcare costs back. Also, what would happen if you were ill and not able to look after her baby?? A registered provider has back up plans if this sort of thing happens so the parent doesnt have to use up all their leave.

Good luck

i totally see what you mean hun but she has got other people who are willing to help out 2 so if i am ill she will always have someone there to help!

also i am hoping to register as a childminder as i have been to college already and got the qualifications just need to raise the money to register! and i am not actually charging her any money anyway! this is to help her as she is really struggling at the minute!

not everyone gets the money back though hun - my childcare used to cost over half my wages and we never got any help at all had to pay the lot! luckily i was getting a 50% discount for being staff but it was still half my wages that was being taken away before i saw anything!

after next year I will get no help with my child care- I will be earning over £15k. Also If my child minder is sick-tough, I have to sort out something myself (no child minder I know up here has a back up plan if they are sick) I ma lucky that I have a pal who is registered and will take Joseph.
