she ws removed at around 3 this morning for "racism" for the story see here http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/entertainment/6729673.stm

looking at other forums this again is causing huge debates - i'm just interested in people's opinions of this as the jade/shilpa thing really intrigued me as it seemed the majority of people didnt/dont understand racism.

i honsetly thought the jade/shilpa thing wasnt racist, bullying and intimidation yes.

i think this case with emily although i dont believe she used the term as an insult - i think it is possibly disrespectful to use it in any context??

interested to hear thoughts on this??

i think had it not been for the media frenzy surrounding the celeb bb earlier this year, she would have got a slap and the public would have paid very little attention to it.

im not saying i think it is right, but all things in context right?

i personally didnt think it was racist i agree it was bullying but not racist. i think it was all blown out of proportion to get extra coverage

stupid girl. she may not have meant anything racist by it, but you can't go around using that word & not expect to have some reaction. What did she think would happen - what a dizzy cow!

our house is divided - hubbie cant stand it so i have to sky + it and watch it during the day unless he's at work!!!

i agree she didnt mean it as racist but it just one of those words that you dont chuck around.

im glad she's gone - silly little trout!!!

LOL I've just posted in the sticky about her been chucked out before I realised this was here, I'm such a dufus!!!

I think BB are making a big thing of it now because of what happened to Shilpa in CBB, I don't think she genuinely meant it in a racist context but she's a flaming twit to say it, especially after what they were told before they went in about racism and bullying!

She would have probably gone on Friday anyway, just means no eviction to watch! Crazy

after watching last nights episode - the "incident" took place at around 8pm but she wasnt removed until after 3am.

i think they would have just not shown anything or spoken of it except to give emily a stern warning if charley hadnt gone on and on and on and on about it. because charley wouldnt let it drop and was telling other housemates bb had no choice but to go public with it and boot her out!!!

silly witch!!!

Charlie knew exactly what she was doing....

i agree Charley did keep talking about it & telling others. Although i think Emily would have been kicked out regardless as you can't go about using that word especially when they'd be warned about it beforehand. did feel a bit sorry for Emily when they did kick her out though, thought that they humiliated her by making her leave in her nightie wearing no undies. That was a bit cruel.
