Daughters Operation

My DD is due a hernia operation next week and my partner, her father doesn't deem her operation serious enough to take time off work to attend. Am I wrong in feeling upset by this?

First: you are not wrong. You and your daughter definitely needed support. Second: May be your partner wanted to help by doing his job, cause your daughter will definitely need some financial help for medicines and stuff.
