Hello I am new. I had an early scan on wednesday which showed baby was growing well and measuring 8 weeks and 1 day. Heartbeat was there nice and strong. Underneath baby was a bleed of 4.9 mm they have told me that this is classed as a threatened miscarriage, I have searched for this term on the internet and it keeps coming back with different outcomes. I have been told that this is very common in early pregnancy and doesn't increase my chances of having a miscarriage I am due to be rescanned on the 17th may which seems so far away, any advice would be greatly appreciated thank you

Hi there I had a threatened miscarriage while I was pregnant with George. I had a brown tissuey bleed which the mws ans nurses put down to a dark spot on my womb which they thought could be a bruise caused by implantation.

I was signed off sick by my GP and on my sick note it said threatened miscarriage. George is 10 months old and I never had any other complications during pregnancy. Best wishes for you pregnancy hun xx Love Baby
