Diaperless parenting is really very hard. I did it for one week and became very exhausted. Once i went to my friend's party and took my baby's bowl with me. When the baby's signals emerged, i went into a corner to use the bowl. It was really very embarrassing for me. You've done the right thing by training the baby for toilet earlier on time. Most people, I mean parents are lazy I say. They overlook these aspects of parenting where they can teach the child to handle their on mess, or simply training them not to shit everywhere (pun intended). We trained our niece about the same time as you did. Now she herself signals when she has to go to toilet. She's only a year old. Nicely potty-trained!
