Hi girls! Need some help and hope for your advice. I was diagnosed with PCOS 5 years ago. The medical treatment doesn't actually work and I don’t think it will give some positive result. That’s why I decided to start looking for the clinic where ivf with donor eggs can be done. It’s an expensive procedure in my country, that’s why I want to find good clinic abroad. What should I consider while choosing the right one? Any advice?

Well as I posted before one of my friends was recommended to go into a clinic named Biotexcom which is in Kiev Ukraine. As I mention before in paper it does seems like a nice place as they apparently offer ya the whole package. From what was told to my friend they have programs with surrogacy, IVF and a bank of egg for eggs donation. It does seem like a nice place but just like I posted before I am quite concerned about how truthful it may be as I had been told sometimes all this promises aren't all what they say. She was also told that the money needed to do all this is quite less compared to the usual 100k which is needed for some of this procedures.

While I wont deny it does sound great I have zero experience with that clinic. I would suggest you to look around and do some research about it just like my friend is doing as this is quite a serious decision for you. Although so far some of the people I have asked outside this forum have told me quite nice things about the clinic and seemed to had nice experiences. I wish you the best and I will share anything I find out about it if you want. : 3

I wish you good luck and all the best.

I’m sorry your treatment doesn’t work. But it’s nice you don’t give up and continue your ‘fight’! I also faced this problem and I can’t have kids without medical help. I have Turner syndrome, so my husband and I decided to try donation. When we were looking for clinic, the main criteria for us were positive reviews, professional doctors and good service. We’ve chosen Ukrainian clinic. Our neighbors tried donation there and the procedure was successful. They shared their reviews and thoughts about the clinic and the process with us. Also we’ve read many positive reviews about other couples experience, about good specialists and high rates of successful treatments and fertilization procedures. I’ve got pregnant from 2nd attempt and gave birth to the healthy girl. I wish you luck in your search and if you have questions feel free to ask!

I'm sorry about your situation. How are you doing now? Have you decided about clinic? I'm also in search. Actually this is my second time searching for a professional place to go. The first time was a total disaster and disappointment. We’ve tried using donor eggs in 2015. There were 2 attempts and all failed. That was a difficult time for our family. This’s hard to return to new efforts and go back to clinics, because there are only disappointment and distrust inside. I hope my experience won't scare you. I can't say I was mindless in picking in 2015. But now I understood I should have spent more time and learn more info about clinics. This whole de thing was new for me. I was unexperienced and I though "What can go wrong? The procedure is not that tough." Well, I was wrong. I've made a mistake and faced unprofessional and irresponsible doctors. I hope this time everything will go better... Though those failures took pure hope from me and I'm looking for limitations everywhere... We’ve been thinking about clinics abroad.

I'm sorry about you having this diagnosis. Thank you for useful information. My congratulations with you became a mother! Could you please tell more about Ukrainian clinic? Did you like their doctors? How many attempts did you have? Was it hard to communicate?

It's sad to hear about your disappointing experience. I understand it’s very hard to believe in success again. I hope everything will be fine and you’ll make it! Be strong and don’t give up! I'm glad I could help. The clinic is situated in the capital of Ukraine, Kiev. It's called Biotexcom(I'm not sure if I'm allowed to tell name of the clinic here, so I'm sorry if it's forbidden). We were satisfied with our doctor and service in general. I've read on different sources that doctors of this clinic help even in the most severe cases. This fact convinced us to choose&check this place. I had 2 attempts with de. There were no problems with communication. We were provided with a manager, who spoke English fluently. She translated everything for us and answered all our questions. There were no misunderstandings, everything was clear. So don’t worry about that.

Thanks for useful tips. I will definitely consider all you’ve said! What about the price? Usually doctors pull everything to the last penny. Did you pay any fees or smth like that? Did you stay at the hotel? Maybe you could advise nice place to stay? How did you get to the clinic? I hope it won't be difficult to use subway. Was the clinic easy to find for the foreigner? I would appreciate if you give me some useful addresses, names and phone numbers. To be honest I'm a little bit scared to go to the country which language I don't know. I'm afraid it will be way too difficult to communicate and to look up to streets.

The clinic has packages for all their services. Actually there are 3 packages with different set of services for different price. You choose the right package for you and pay this single price. There were no extra charges and that was really a pleasant fact for us. We were never asked to pay more. You can see all conditions, prices and services on the official website of the clinic. We stayed at the comfortable apartment, which was provided by the clinic. Its cost had already been included into our package. We were met by taxi driver in the airport. The taxi was carrying us everywhere we needed, including the clinic. It was also provided by the clinic and its cost had already been included into our package. Also the clinic provided us with food supply.

Thanks for reply. I appreciate your kind words of support. Do you mind if I ask you a couple more questions? Which price did you pay for all attempts and services? Does this clinic use frozen or fresh embryos? We used frozen embryos previous time. Now I read lots information that fresh are much better. They increase chances of conceiving. As I’ve mentioned already we had 2 tries and both failed. I think maybe that happened because we used frozen embryos… Did you choose your donor? How can I be sure that donor is healthy? This is so hard for me to decide on one more procedure. I’m so scared this one will also fail. In that case I’ll lose my last remains of hope to become a mother… We work so hard to be able to pay for all those treatments, medications, ivfs but get nothing in result. My husband and I had a conversation recently and we decided this will be our last try. I really want to make everything right and find good place which can help us.

Sounds very good! Because we counted how much it will cost to hire taxi, translator and staying at hotel and price turned out to be huge! What package did you choose? Did you pay all sum at once? How much times did you attend the clinic? Hope to hear from you asap! I don't want to waste time. I talked to my DH and we are going to send this clinic a letter so we could start our journey.

You’re welcome, sweetheart! Feel free to ask me everything you need! The only price we paid was €6.900. The clinic uses fresh embryos, which was also one of the main factors why we chose this clinic. By the way, the clinic has package with 5 attempts. In case of failure of all of them, the clinic gives money back. Maybe this option will be the best for you. I don’t remember the exact price of that package, but I advise you to look more into it on their website. We were not allowed to choose donor, because the procedure is anonymous. But we made a list, where we wrote down desirable hair&eyecolor, face shape, nose shape, etc. We were given 3 variants of donors. Then we chose the most suitable one. The clinic checks mental and physical health of women before taking them into ivf programs. Everything was mentioned in our contract. Here what is mentioned on the website “Our requirements for the donors are: age from 18 to 25; perfect physical health; perfect mental health; absence of genetic diseases in the donor and her family (siblings, parents, uncles, aunts, grandparents)“ Don't be afraid to send letter with all questions you are interested in to the clinic. I'm sure they will answer more detailed. I wish you best of luck!

I do understand you! Each penny counts in such situation. Because costs will be very high after baby birth! So there is no spare cash. We've chosen package called 'double' for €6.900. This package seemed perfect for us. The package implies 2 attempts. I've got pregnant from the 2nd one. We visited clinic 3 times. The payment was divided into 2 parts. So we paid €3.450 during first visit and second half of money during second visit.

Hi there, PCOS is one of the common causes of infertility and there are treatments like IVF that can help you conceive

Try to see if the clinic gives you access of the egg donors and let you specify what kind of characteristics you wish to have in your donor. You can enquire about this before visiting them

I suggest you talk to the patients who have been to the clinic and see what kind of experience they had with the clinic.

Sorry to hear that no medical treatents have worked yet. It gets quite strressful when such things happen. I have a suggestion, for you which may not be about the clinic, but it is about you. Be supportive of each other, you and yur husband need to support each other as that is something you need to be prepared for from your side before visiting any clinic abroad.

Yes, sam said it right. Things may not always work in the way we expect. And support is what you need if you look to go through everything that it takes to be a mother. I wish you all the best.

Initial consultation with their specialist will also give you a clearer idea about how the clinic is and about their staff. A highly skilled and supportive staff is also something you should look out for

Be calm and do not panic under any situation. As IVF can seem to be stressful for someone who has been trying for a long time and has not seen any results. Just keep a positive mindset and support each other as others have said.

Hello Sarra. I'm sorry to hear about your condition. PCOS can really cause a nuisance in your life. I hope you make a full and speedy recovery. There are plenty of options abroad for such clinics. The most important thing to take into consideration is the laws in that country regarding the rights of the donor and the client. Aside from that price is a huge factor too.
