Breastfeeding with only one breast

Hi, fellow mommies! I breastfed my son from the moment he was born up to now that he's almost two years old. What's odd though is he won't feed from the right breast. He only feeds from the left one right from the beginning. I guess it could be my fault since I don't give the other breast as much in the beginning. Until he just won't take that nipple from the right breast one day.

We did survived with just one breast though. I just took some moringa capsules to help increase my milk supply. Right now, I don't even take the capsules since he seems satisfied anyway with my milk. Plus, he already eats solids so he has other sources of nutrients.

Did any of you experience breastfeeding with just one breast?

Now that you mention it I do remember there was a preference for one over the other, although I can't remember which. I think it had to do with me too, because it was easier to hold them in that direction too. But they still did both sides. So I do know what you're talking about!

Hi! Yes, I think it also has to do with it being easier holding my baby on that side. I did tried to make him feed on the other side but not too many times. Plus, he got so used to my left side and was struggling with the other. So now, I have uneven breasts, lol.

You're quite lucky though that they still did both sides! I hope that if ever we do decide to have another baby, he or she will take both breasts. I do know a lot know about breastfeeding so I know better than just to give one breast. Haha!

I can totally understand this, as my second child refused to be fed from my right breast as well. I guess it's also my fault, as I am always using the baby sling to carry her around while doing housework and taking care of my elder one. She couldn't fall asleep easily on her own. Hence, I was so used to feed her with my left breast, though I always tried to alternate them.

She started with both sides since she was born, I have no idea since when she totally refused my right breast. I am also glad that I have enough milk supply for her until she's 2.5 years old, but as you said, my both breast size are uneven very obviously. Very happy

Now I am pregnant with my third baby, I hope this baby will be happy with both breasts, as my eldest child.
