Sex after Childbirth

When is the appropriate time to resume sex after childbirth? I noticed even after bleeding which is a few weeks, when my husband embraced me and desires for him began to grow, my body was stinging down there as if warning me it was not the right time.

Logically, when is the right time?

I think it depends on the person. I know that doctors recommend nothing before 6 weeks afterwards but anytime after that I feel it is up to the person and how their body feels. I think it depends on the person's emotional state as well. Just take it slow and listen to what your body is telling you and decide what is right for you.
