yesterday in Aberdeen.
The appointment didn't started too well, the Professor started off talking about my compliant letter (that he thought my husband had written- doh I am a single mum!) and he didn't really know what I had been compliaining about but he had helped the other doctor investigate the compliant, so he really just dug himself in further, and yet again the letter was in his notes but I haven't had mine!!! HE also said he had last saw Joseph 4 or 6 weeks BEFORE his surgery at Yorkhill!! no sorry it was after!
Anyway, once that was over, he actually gave me an appointment this time and didn't push me out the door. HE also tried to explain things and answer my questions. He says the OP has been a success but Joseph has not yet fully recovered from it, his peak flow and other lung function tests showed some sign of improvement but his trachea must still be floppy at the compression point because he is unable to hit the 'lines' that a child his age/height/weight should be able to. He is also not worried about the tiredness and weepiness and says he has been through a lot and the fact that he is growing and putting on weight shows nothing is really wrong with him. I suppose in a way he might be right, his height his between the 91st and 95th centile and his weight is on the 91st centile, so a good weight and height (and the almost the right weight weight for his height)
