Cars/car seats with multiple children

PLEASE HELP
In November I bought a new car in preperation for baby number 3, ie I sold my car which had a lap strap in the middle and got one with 3x 3 point seat belts in the back plus abit extra space. HOWEVER, on fitting the baby seat in ready for the new arrival THERE'S NOT ENOUGH ROOM We can physically fit the 3 child seats in but literally squashed end to end and with the risk of crushing your fingers while trying to slide your hands into the non-existant gap to plug in the seat belts.AND this is with the older children having the slim line boosters so we can't get any smaller ones.

For those of you who have 3 children's car seats in the back (or know people who do) what cars do you have. I know there are the obvious ones such as Renault Scenics but I'm trying to get as long a list as possible in a short space of time, as we are going to have to get something ASAP. Don't mind people carrier suggestions or estates or even 6/7 seaters, as long as I can get my 3 cars seats in and not really expensive new cars.

Is it possible to squeeze one adult in between the older two in the back and have the baby seat in the front? If you have an airbag on the passenger side it is possible to get it de-activated so you can put a seat there.

We have a ford s-max seven seater, I've haven't come across a car before that can fit three children's seat on the back seat and remain safe, in our car any seats that you aren't using you can just fold away, with any 7 seater if all the seats are up you don't have a boot. . If you do get the airbag de-activated, make sure the actual bag is removed as well, otherwise it is just as likely to activate.

when we had the twins and alisa we had the old model zafira you can get 3 carseats in at a push but you also get 3 fold down seats at the back where you dont have to have them all up so still have boot space. But i would suggest while looking for cars take the car seats with and cheack they fit so you have a better idea or if you buy secondhand most cras only come with driver airbag

If you are considering having the airbag deactivated, please check with your insurance company. A friend of mine had it done in her car and found out by accident that her insurance was no longer valid! Apparently the insurance is often based on the type of car you have and with the features all intact. Therefore when she deactivated one of those features, it nullified the insurance. She got it back but had to pay an extra amount to cover this (bloody cheek I know but that's insurance for you!).

I have had 3 car seats in my mums ford fusion and my sister had 3 in her focus (fitted by Mothercare and told they were ok) however when she moved the older 2 into boosters with back she found it a real squeeze in the back. The boosters take up more room than a car seat!

I have also heard about insurance becoming void if the air bags are deactivated

We gave up on shopping around as my stress levels in this heat were not good so we settled on the closest and easiest which was a Scenic just a few miles up the road. It's like a boat but very practical and the kids like it!
