Has anyone been watching this series? Last week was the strain of drunk patients in hospitals, this week the show follows teenage mothers in the late stages of pregnancy and labor.

My sister was telling me about this yesterday, is this the one who was 'needle-phobic' despite having piercings all over her? Cuckoo

Is this going to be repeated? Would love to watch it myself just to have a rant at her! Stupid girl! Sad

I'm looking forward to the obese teenagers lies about why they aren't losing weight, should be quite entertaining.

Just watched it on 4OD, blimey! Sad

I was knocked out when I had DS but only because the caesarean was sprung on me within hours of it happening and I was terrified, had never had surgery for anything up 'til then- this girl had weeks to think about it! I know if I had been given time to consider it properly then I would have opted to be awake. DD was going to be delivered naturally but she was found to be in distress and had to be delivered quickly also (although a little disappointed, I knew it was for the best) but I wanted to be awake as had had PND after I had James as I found it hard to bond with him for the 1st few days. Sad

Interesting that not one of the mothers in this programme mentioned how they were going to provide for their children, or even have an ambition for themselves personally.

Being a stay-at-home mum is by no means a bad thing but I think as far as the 'teenage mum stigma' goes, they should be encouraged to continue education to get the utmost respect from the country as a whole.

I liked Juanita's comment about how her son could be the next Prime Minister, shows that they want their children to do well- but they still have to think about themselves as a role model to their child especially if they are single parents.

I watched this after reading this thread and actually enjoyed and Rich watched it to, although when the girl got out the birth pool and screamed me and Rich did laugh as he is dreading when i go into labour Very Happy
I found it quite interesting though the attitudes some had towards it, I had Crystal when i was 18 and continued my education for the final year of 3 although i havent done anything with the qualification it's ready for when i do. Hopefully the girls get on with parenthood and realise what they have coming in life to deal with

Yup. Hopefully her baby has changed her attitude now. She did seem to regret it a little afterwards.

I watched it on +1hr Didnt watch the last 10minutes. I saw when the young girl whose mum hired the trainer for her had lost over 2 stones herself

Shocked OMG. I was MAD at it.

The girl who had the band fitted who had the obese other half(niether who worked and lived on DLA) and the little girl made my blood boiled. Not just from her weight issues but from their life styles on benefits (because they were too big to work!!!)and she wanted the band as a quick fix

i only saw last nights one and it was very eye opening

the doctor who said we should be banding more teenage obease cases to prevent the money that will be spent on their related illnesses later in life was a scary thought

a gastric banding costs less than a 1 year supply of diabetic medicine apparently

i found what the surgeon said about not eating beige food to be quite interesting - dont eat pasta bread crisps cakes
and how you should eat colour

I haven't seen it yet but will 4OD it- that doc must be crazy tho saying that they should be banding more, surely a better cure would be counselling of some sort because they clearly have no control over their addiction and it will just lead to another when they can't binge eat any more... they'll be drinking themselves to death after.
