Anybody into Photography?

I like photography and I'm trying to learn more. I've been searching for forums with tutorials that can help me but I haven't found any good one. I need all the steps because I'm only a beginner.Anybody here can recommend any?? Thank you.

That would be me! I bought a digital SLR a couple of years ago, and at the end of last year I took an OU digital photography course which was really good, although some basic skills were needed before hand. The thing it did for me was force me to think more about the pictures I was taking. Feel free to add me on Facebook to take a look at my pictures, or go through the photos section on here as I posted a few.
There are a few magazines out there which offer some tips each month, and one of them runs a digital SLR skills course (online I think) for free. I'll see if I can dig out the article.

About two years since I really got into digital photography instead of just snapping at things. I'll see what I can dig out once I've moved the rest of my stuff in this weekend. Do you have a digital SLR?

I've just bought a Nikon D60. The camera is great, just the photographer that's not.... LOL Need to learn a lot. I always had compact cameras... all this is very new for me. I'm reading everything I come across but i don't have all that time. Did you take any course?

I have taken an OU digital photography course which taught me what to look for in a picture. I also took a course from an organisation specialising in Canon camera courses which taught me how to use the basic functions of the camera. Everything else I learnt from reading lots of magazines.

I'm considering in taking a course too. I need to learn everything from the basic so I'm reading as much as I can. What do you like to photograph?

Do you know if there is a photographic society in your area? If you want to share your photo's to get some critique, redbubble.com is a good website for digital and flim cameras.

A lot of the photo magazines run websites with forums that achieve similar things. Also as part of the open university course that I took, a similar thing was insisted upon. So you would be set an assignment and post your photos. Then comment on others and they would comment on yours.
The comments were really useful as it would give you ideas and direction to improve your photography, plus viewing how other people approached the same subject really helped.
I'm considering setting up a website to sell photos that me and my mum have taken. I'll let you all know if I do.
