Snow....LOTS of snow LOL!!

Mart had to abandon the car at the bottom of the hill this morning after his night shift LOL (a downside of living at the top of steep hills either side ) We were gritted last night too, we aren't usually because we don't live on a bus route.

I'm trying to find out if Lottie is at school today but the education website is bringing up 'Server too busy' LMAO. Obviously most of Leeds are trying to find out whether to go to school. I think I will ring instead. I kind of hope she is off because I don't really fancy dragging 2 under 5's down to school, we'll be soaked! Plus it will be easier for me to have an excuse not to go to work ....

Just to add: Wish my friend Janet good luck because she's actually moving today!! I think she really could have done without the worst snow for over a decade (so they say anyway LOL).

i know casey will be at nursery today, they were open last time there was snow , n i think it was deeper before. however haydens buggy prob wont move so ill have to sling him......my poor back.

my kids are off school today, ive still got to go to work though

Yaaaay i love the snow!!

DD's school is open but it took us much longer to get there than usual (as we drive her to her current school) so she was 10 minutes late.

Martin's stepdad came to pick us up (George stays at grandma's while I go to work) so got him settled and walked up the road with Charlotte to school as it's on the same street as grandma's and there where signs up saying as of 8.30 decision was to close so I dropped her off at grandma's and went to work. There were a few disgruntled parents as a lot had rung to double check (including me), never mind eh? I'm sure Charlotte is a lot happier chucking snow around at grandmas LOL!

Snow not too bad here this morning and James has been in school all day but Gem was off any way as has tummy bug that James had last week- as well as a cold, poor thing! She's over her Nan's recovering, while I'm in work. Snow eased off during day but it's picking up again now and predicted to get worse. I don't mind a day off work but gotta get to docs' on wednesday for bloods and check-up with midwife- also supposed to be getting MATB1 and 'Health in Pregnancy' form... drat!

I got up, got the kids dressed and was wondering if it would be more sensible to walk or drive when I got a text from my friend who had phoned the school and been told they were closed today. It honestly never entered my head they'd shut, we've not had that much snow,not like some places and it seemed abit ridiculous to me. BUT we had a fun time in the garden and over the field. Denis' play group was open today, altough he doesn't go on a monday, but tomorrow when he is due to go it is going to be shut and Summer's school is closed again.
I don't have to set my alarm for the morning, how cool is that

We've had loads or so it seems and has been pretty much non-stop snowing all day - now its chucking it down (with rain) so most of it will be gone tomorrow!

We had a fair bit of snow overnight and some people braved going out in their cars but James' school is shut so I am home today anyway. Am hoping his dad will pick him up later in his 4x4 so that I can try to get to work tomorrow but a blizzard has recently started up and it's looking dodgy! I could have sworn I saw or heard rain forecast for us for later- I hope so!

Ours has pretty much gone now (sigh) its very vey cold though! Lots of rain last night which got fid of a lot of snow but then froze so still fairly slippery!

There is hardly any snow here in Aberystwyth, just a light scattering really.

We had that yesterday then it got worse but now it's stopped and sun is melting it away thankfully!

Awww my honey there, from the land of Snow, Sweden. Have to say, if you thought you got a lot of snow, seriously, compared to Sweden, they would say it was a light spattering....I was Knee deep in the stuff when I went over there last April and that was just a "Small amount"...

We had a light covering last night and they are calling for soe more tonight, and school was called off today too!

I keep being told that we are due to have a blizzard tomorrow. We still have quite a bit of snow but the roads are more or less clear now, the paths are a bit dicey though as the snow has frozen and compacted!

We have a snowman...or should I say a snow lady complete with lady bits thanks to my sister in laws yesterday!!
