Day nurseries?!

Just thought i should remind everyone that I work in a private day nursery so any questions u wanna ask about them or problems u are having and want some advice please ask away

If you are caring for a child who is being checked out for wheat/glutan allergies do you need a doctors note or parents word of mouth? Just wondering as my son is being checked out for wheat/glutan allergy and the nursery I was going ot be putting him in twice a week has said until he is confirmed as having the allergy they wont cater for it. I was a supply nursery nurse at private nurseries and all the nurseries I have worked in would cater for the allergy even before we have it confirmed. If so confused on why this nursery can get away with doing this. I have refused to put him in there twice a week and know I am back at square one to find him a nursery to go although I'm thinking I can continue to take care of him mmyself until he is 3 then put him into public nursery for 15 hours a week where they won't have to deal with his allergy unless they are doing baking
