Anyone on the mini pill?

Hi I am on the mini pill now and its getting on my nerves. My periods are all over the place like my doctor did warn me. Its horrible because i not long had a period and bleeding again. When you got a partner and your on you period its getting frustrating because you cant have sex with your bf.

Another question has anyone missed the mini pill and took it when they remembered and then took another one at the normal time but never got pregnant? Worried because I missed the mini pill the other night then took it in the morning and again at the usual time.

I think you are meant to take it the exact same time every day, with the combined pill you have a twelve hour window but not with mini I don't think.

I was on it - there's a new one out that still gives you the 12 hour window - if you are having probs with timing ask the doctor about it. I'll find out the name if you like, when i'm at home.

can't help re the periods as i never got any as soon as i started taking it.

I used to be on it ages ago but I'm not very good at taking tablets when I'm supposed to so have now got implants instead

if you want a really effective contraceptive im a massive fan of the injection. Added bonus being most women stop having periods all together!!!

I know of quite a few women who didn't egt on very well with the injection - they said it tended to send their emotions a bit all over the place and loose their sex drive. Bit like me and the combined pill really.
I'm not suggestinh that hipmomma doesn't have a point, just saying be careful.

Maybe you should go to a family planning clinic. I did and the nurse there took the time to go over the options I had and gave me stuff to read and time to think about my options.

Well I have the mini pill and have to take it without a break and your suppose to take it the same time every day. I have missed mine on a couple of occasions and take it when I remember but they do say to use protection then.

I've got the implaint, hardly get periods, what is a lil annoying because the last pregnancy test I took I came on the following day lol

I don't like the injection as its been proven to cause osteoporosis and makes it harder for you to conceive when you come off it.

Kelly they say to you that the mini pill no soon you stop taking it you become fertile I don't know how accurate this is.

Just to say i am a big fan of the contraceptive implant. Once in you dont do anyhting for 3 years, it does'nt get effected by illness or antibiotics and you cant forget to take it! It's the most reliable no surgical contrapception there is.

Unfortanatly i cannot use anything apart for condoms as ive been very ill wil the homone based contrception the combined pill, mimi pill, and implant. My last resort was the coil which i have had to have removed as i have been bleeding for 4 months constantly and i now have to have swabs to see if it has caused an infection aswell. Its really annoying as i know after i have had another baby which we have planned to do now that all i can use is condoms.
