Taking from both breasts each feed

Sophie seems to have upped her milk intake and has been taking from both breasts each feed for the past 10 days. I don't have a problem with it but wonder whether I should limit her to one side per feed and see if it will up my milk production?

I'm not sure that feeding from both permanently is the best way forward.

Any thoughts?

I always did 2 breast feeds but as time went on I wasn't able to pump anymore... so maybe the one side feeding is good if you can still pump milk from the other side if you need it??

I know i wasn't any help there but congrats on doing so well so far Krista!! Clapping

i always feed from one side wind and offer the other side

if shes feeding from both sides then its probably a growth spurt, im sure she wont stay like it forever

I always fed from both sides

I wouldn't worry about production, as long as you drink plenty of water and the more you feed more milk you'll make Very Happy

All my friends who breast fed always offer/offered both breasts, they drink from one side and top up with the other, they then start the next feed with the breast they used the 2nd time and topped up with the other!! But as I didnt manage to breast fed I wouldnt really know what you are supposed to do or not! Shrug
