partners age difference

i'm 29 and my husband is 42, a few people think this is to much, anyone out there got an opinion on it?

I agree with bunni age is just a number, im 23 and dh is 33, my family hated it when i met him, i was only 17 and him 26, we have been married 5 yrs and together 6

I'm 33 and husband is 40! Have dated younger guys but to me they're not as good as older guys

thanks for all u'r replies its nice to hear.
i dont let it get to me 99% of the time, just from time to time it upsets me coz i love my husband so so much and hate to hear people slagging him off for being with someone so much younger. i never tell him coz i wouldnt want him to get upset by it.
i also have been married to someone younger then me and it really was awful, he though i was his mum more than his wife....thanks again everyone!

Take no notice Kel I met my hubby on the internet, and do people take the pee! Made me so angry because although we have ups and downs, my hubby is the most kind, caring person who dotes on me and vice versa. Never met anyone like this before!

People are just so quick to judge when they see happiness, they don't like it.

Yeah i met mine online too hon, and i get the same response, been together nearly 12 years now tho so they havn't got a leg to stand on

theres only 4 rs between me and my partner so cant really say but my best mate is with someone 15yrs her senior and he has treated her like a princess!
They had the most gorgeous "fairy tale wedding" ive ever seen and have 2 gorgeous boys! I dont think age matters at all its how you work at your relationship and make it work!
I love my df so much its hard to describe, hes been there for me through thick and thin and im not the most easy person to live it lol! and hes still there after everything thats what matters

my sister is 22yrs younger than her fella. theyve been together 10yrs and had a dd last january. theyre a great couple. age shouldnt matter. i have a toyboy as james is 4yrs younger lol

im 25 and my hubbys 36 and i thimk its the best relationship i could of wished for. we dont even relise that there is a gap in age aslong as u love it each what does it matter others can think what they want but happiness is what counts.

I'm 7 years older than my dh, his sister is 15 years younger than her dh, my dad is 18 years older than my stepmum and my mum is 12 years older than my stepdad!! Runs in the family and if anyone has a problem with it then tough!

age dont make a difference. as long as u are happy and in love its got nothin to do woth any1 else

I don't believe age should be a barrier in a relationship of consenting adults. I know plenty of women in relationships/married to older men. I think people, unfortunately, take a much dimmer view of older women with younger men which I find ridiculous!

On the other hand, one thing I do hate to see is lads in their 20's picking up their 13yr old 'girlfriends' from the school gates. If I had a daughter that'd reeeally worry me!

In an adult relationship age should be no barrier!

BUT - I do find older men really attractive! Why the hell not?? I wouldn't blink at a gal for being with an older man. In the same way, there's no harm in being with a younger bloke. It all depends on personality, interests and attraction. DOB is not important.
