My extreme new exercise plan

So those who know me will know that I have spent the last 16 months going to the gym to lose weight and get into shape. Progress was slow, although it received a big boost over the summer when I did my mammoth cycle trip.

Well Monday was my review at the gym and "Vicious Vicky" one of the trainers came up with a new exercise plan for me. Tonight was the first night that I was able to make it to the gym to put the new plan into action.

I am knackered! My old plan took 1.5-1.75 hours to do, tonight the new plan took 2.5 hours. I ended up crawling or slithering out like a snail (leaving a trail of sweat behind). Well hopefully burning nearly 800 calories more per workout will start to show some benfit since I haven't really made any progress in the last few months.

Let's hope so. Something needs to happen as I'm getting demotivated at the moment with the lack of progress. Still the wrong side of 210 pounds. Target is 190 or below, plus a washboard stomach!!

Changing your programme will definately help, when you do the same thing your body gets used to it after a while and you don't benefit from it. It's ok if you want to maintain your weight but to actually lose weight you need to spice things up abit so I'm sure you'll be getting to your target soon. Well done, good work out and it lifts your mood Very Happy

I usually change what I'm doing every two months anyway, as they are very good about doing reviews at the gym. This time however they seem to have really stepped up what they are getting me to do. I feel good afterwards, shame the feel good feeling doesn't last very long.
