we got a phone call this morrning and my b/f has lost his job!! what are we ment to do now? hes just gone down the job center to see if he can get a job asap, if not he'll have to go on job seekers! g8! were going to be that tipical council house family all on benafits when we can both go out to work! god i am sooo angry at his old bosses!!!!!!!!
try not to worry yorself too much. We had a lot of bad luck with work for my husband in the first couple of years of our marriage. I promise, bad as it looks, it always works out in the end.
All i can say is take absoloutly anything that is offered. part time is better than no time, even if he only got 20 hours a week remember that working tax credits would greatly supplement that.
this is just a figure i was given so it would vary, but when i looked into working 16 hours a week, they were going to give me an extra 90 a week in working tax credits. They do what they can to make being in work the best thing.
I hope it works out soon for you and he finds something quickly. Stay strong and manage it together.
