WORRIED THAT YOUR CHILD COULD BE ADDICTED TO CAFFEINE? £200 FOR YOUR STORY...

Schools have recently been alerted to the fact that some of their pupils could be addicted to caffeine after drinking too many energy drinks like Red Bull. Does this sound like your child? Have you tried to wean them off such drinks? What happens to their behaviour when they have been drinking it? Do they get into more trouble when they've been drinking coffee or energy drinks? Do they get headaches or hyperactivity as a result? A magazine writer is looking for parents and children to talk about their problems with caffeine or energy drinks. If this sounds like you, please get in touch with any questions

My daughters only 6 and caffinated drinks are on a strict limitation. I think thats what parents of teens need to do. Teens are still kids that need control and regulations. Energy drinks are terribly bad for you in more ways than just the caffiene. They can kill you or seriously make you ill if consumed in abundance. This goes the same for cola's. I don't mean go snooping in their rooms, but a good chat about the all round effects of energy drinks will do them some good. It may seem as if all the info goes in one ear and out the other, but deep inside they respect your concerns and will try to obey. Teens just don't like to show you that your right. But a good talk is neccessary. I put energy drinks in with cigarettes and drugs. You don't need them, they offer temporary satisfaction and a life time of problems. And with this supposed ADHD epidemic, what youth needs more energy?

Don't allow Cait to drink stuff like that, juice, water and milk. Kids shouldn't have caffiene!!!

not an issue - because she doesn't have it! If she has a cup of tea it's decaff - she usually prefers milk or water
