Im 1 day overdue and desperate to meet my son

Im 1 day overdue, me and my husband have tried endless methods to coax him in to the world but to no avail. I guess he will come when he wants to, he is obviously very warm and toasty.

Anyone else overdue?

I went over due and the worst bit was people who kept asking if I had had baby yet!!!!!!!!

I was induced at 40+6 because of concerns but on the positive note for you, you know you will only have a max of 10-14 days left and baby will here.

Hey Alex, 14 days sounds like such a long time to wait though, considering the last 9 months (I am VERY impatient)
I have to go back for an antenatal Friday so think I may take up their offer of a sweep. It may bring things forward if I havnt had him by then

Take a sweep, it might just help start things off. I had 2 and although contractions didnt start it soften my cerfix and the gel hit quicker when I was induced.

Aww hun, i know what it's like to go overdue too and as Alex said it is sooo annoying everyone asking you if you've had the baby yet?. . . 'urrrr does it look like it'! I always wanted to say, haha. I went 5days over with both of mine, and couldn't wait either time. As Alex said accept the offer of a sweep, it may just help. I tried walking too, and the day before both mine were born i had walked miles! Think it may have just been coincedence though. Tbh i think he will come when he is ready, whatever you do? Good luck though hun, i hope you don't have too long to wait. Don't forget to post a piccy of him when he arrives Xx

yep I went 9 days over with first and 10 with second all I can say is sleep sleep sleep as boy your gonna need it

I went over with both of mine. charlotte was 12 days over (I had to be induced with her) and George was 4 days over.

I ate lots of fresh pineapple and spicy curries, raspberry leaf tea, went for lots of walks with the dog and hot baths but I think they come when they are ready. I found I didn't feel as fustrated about going over with my 2nd because I was still very busy, so try to keep active and your mind occupied, hope he makes his entrance soon xxx
