Giant African land snails are hermaphrodites meaning they are both male and female. They mate using a love dart, a part of their anatomy that they 'spear' into their partner and the sperm is transmitted.

They then lay anything up to 100 eggs which if kept warm will hatch in about 3 - 4 weeks.

A word of warning GALS breed worse then rabbits and if you do not dispose of the eggs (unless you want babies) you will be over run in a matter of months. I speak from experience Shocked

Eggs are easy to dispose of. simply pop them in the bin, they won't hatch as they need to be kept very warm.
