I'll have to give you a bit of background on this so bear with me. You know the kabob skewer things you can get to feed fruit and veg to small animals? No? Well here's a picture.

When the bell is removed the end of the skewer is blunt. Anyway being a mini petting zoo here we have several of them that just happened to be drying on the draining board whilst I was in the kitchen dishing up dinner.

As far as I was aware the girls were in the living room watching the telly with their dad. It was then that I heard Amy the youngest say to her dad, 'Oh no, owwie.' DH starting shouting in a panicked fashion and when I entered the room one of those kabob things was sticking straight up out of Amy's croc. It looked to all intents and purposes like it was actually sticking out of her foot.

Several panicked moments passed with Amy crying Ana and myself running around like headless chickens and DH suggesting we take Amy straight to A&E. DH then decided to pull the kabob out with is eyes frimly clamped shut. We then discovered that the little wotsit had only put the kabob between her toes!

I guess we would have looked pretty silly if we had actually gone to A&E.

I have since binned the blasted things!

Trouble is when DH panics it sends me off because I imagine it to be 100x worse then it is. I was expecting the kabob to be poking out the bottom of her foot and blood spraying everywhere!
