by a very gummy ds, who's gums are really hurting him. He is chewing my fingers at the moment and it's amazing how much pressure they can bite with, even without teeth! Does anyone of you guys have know any miracle aides for teething? I have tried all the usual, teething gel, calpol, and ashton and parsons powders etc? Anything else i can try? i feel really sorry for him, he's so miserable today Crying and he's normally such a happy chappie, must be really sore! Upset Xx

Thanks soup, i am going to try and buy one of those tommorow. One of my friends recommended an icepop or something but thought i would try the ring first as thought it would be less messy! Even the calpol didn't work for long. poor little man! Sad

I don't remember teething being that bad for Aaralyn they just seemed to appear, but she was sick alot as a baby so I may have noticed her teething more other wise.

I hope he feels better soon... i think the cold things were always nice for Aaralyn when I did notice teething symptoms occasionally.

Give him a little hug from me, poor little guy! Hug

Thanks Tammy, I will see if your hug has magical powers and helps? You never know!

Lolly never really had bad teething problems either. He has had teething symptoms for a while but it's worse today. Am hoping it is a sign the first one will appear soon! Unsure Xx

well I hope one pops out soon and he gets some reprieve from the discomfort... will these be his first teeth then??

Yeah these are his first ones. seems to take forever for these ones to arrive for my littluns. Was the same with Lolly. She didn't have too much discomfort with hers but had all the dribbling, red cheeks etc. for months before they arrived. Jake has been the same. Showing signs for months but nothing has arrived yet! Shrug

Have to tried a clean peeled carrot? Simply pop in the fridge before had, but keep a close eye on him while he's chomping it.

Hi hon

Going through the same with Harrison who is 8 months today.

I have tried all, nurofen in the ornage box seems to work best and i use the powder sachets called teetha.

But someone told me i should buy this miracle stuff that is a liquid and you can get it from boots, i will text them in a bit to ask what its called and post you again

Thanks Paula, It's so hard isn't it! They don't know what to do with themselves. I feel so sorry i can't take the soreness away for him. Jake was 7mths yesterday so there isn't much between them in age. Bet you were thinking he was going to be an xmas baby?

He isn't much better today tammy Upset thanks for asking though. We had a tough night and every time i put him down for a nap today he sleeps for 5/10mins then wakes up crying. He is soo tired now, bless him! Going to go out for a drive in a bit when df sorted (he not long been home from work) and see if i can get him to sleep a bit longer? Xx

Thanks paula. He still not too great tonight? He has got a bit of a cold too i think. Got really snotty today. Upset No rush with reply hun, would be grateful if you would let me know if you hear back at some point though.

I am an almost christmas baby myself so i know what it's like. My birthday is 27th Dec. Luckily for me. Mum put her foot down and made sure nobody bought me joint pressies or anything. She said everybody else had two celebrations in the year so why shouldn't i? I'm sure Harrison won't mind hun. Will give him an excuse to party for a couple of weeks when he is older with birthday, xmas and new year all together! And he won't ever have to go to school on his birthday and maybe not work when he's grown (depending what job he does) so there are some perks! Both mine are Jan babies. Xx

Both mine teethed badly, and I found the Nelsons teetha helped (you can get that from Holland & Barret), but that is probably like the Parsons powder.

I used the teething ring you put in the fridge for them both, I always had 2 and alternated them when one warmed up lol. George was in a lot of pain when his inscisors came through (they are like razors), he had the snotty nose, red, swollen cheeks, nappy rash and bad poo with them all at once, he was miserable Sad Just keep with the Calpol and give him something to chew on.

Hope those teeth get through sharpish from him Hug

Thanks for the reply sarah, sorry missed your post at first. Cuckoo I will keep my eyes out for the teetha stuff. It may be different from the parsons powders? Xx
