Ok, if you go into My Account up to the above right, click on that and it will give you an option to change your signature. You can put a code for a small picture, actually up to three small pics or you can have a siggie made, there are various sites that do this.. Sugar, which one's best??

If you want to resize your pics to signature size you can do this at photobucket... do you have a photobucket account?

I wanted to add that your siggie will only show up in the first post you make on any topic, it won't show up in other posts that you make after the initial one so maybe that's why you weren't seeing it
