are everyone else's kids having a busy time at school at the moment too? Last week dd had a school trip to the zoo,an open afternoon of the children's art work and a whole school photo. This week she has a class photo and her class assembly which we can go in and watch. Next week is her sports day and school fete. I love getting involved in these sort of things but it seems like I'm yo-yo-ing from the school non-stop. The kids love it though don't they.

thats how we like to keep them. Just because the holidays are appraoching doesn't mean we are on holiday yet
It is more a wind UP to the holiday than a wind down. There is so much to try and cover before the holidays but all these 'extra' activities/trips just mean we have to work harder when we are in the class.However all these extra things are good way to end a hard working year.
