I was wondering what sort of hobbies and clubs your children do, and are they clubs run by the school or out of school clubs etc?
My dd does ballet on a wednesday which is run at a place near to where we live. I'd like her to get involved in some kind of school activity too in the future (especially if it's free Naughty ) but as she's in Reception at the moment most of the clubs are for older ones.
My ds has just turned 2 so he's not into anything yet but some of the groups have a waiting list and so I'm wondering what to put him down for with view to him starting in a year or two, ie football, gymnastics, martial arts Shrug

Jas does kickboxing, horse riding and brownies outside of school and took it on her own back to learn table tennis at school lunchtimes. She also did gymnastics at school lunchtimes for a while but it seems that has been dropped by the school.

I'm pleased she has such an interest in being active and is sticking to things now as she did flit terribly for 2-3 years trying just about every activity offered by the school and outside Scared We've been through tennis, football, badminton, ballet to name but a few Thumbs Up

I think it's good for them to try different things to see what they really like but heck, how many 6 week courses can one child try out Whistling - if it's Jas, about 20 it seems Smile

Joseph has swimming and when he is 5 would like to go to Karate

Girls can go to rainbows once they are 5 (check it out there might be a waiting list) but they love it

I'm going to get Charlotte into Rainbows. I was a Brownie and did Guides for a while although the leaders changed and we didn't do anything besides sit about for 2hrs instead of going for badges. I really wanted to go for my Baden Powell badge (I think thats what it was called) but the leaders kept coming up with reasons not to so I packed it in.

Aaralyn has done some dance and will be getting back into it very soon! She's getting ready to take swimming lessons and she has also expressed a big interest in karate (might have a little to do with the fact that Amber does karate Rolling Eyes )

She's starting kindergarten in September so I'll see then what kinds of activities the school will offer and take advantage of any that she has interest in Yes
