Hot water tank !!!

When the summer comes round I need to do something so that the boiler just heats the water and not radiators. Only problem is that I've forgotten exactly what to do (trouble with only having to do it twice a year )
Alex had a habit of doing these things and never actually showing me how!! I am now determined to do it without resorting to asking him So this could take sometime, and what's the betting that come the winter and I want to turn the radiators on again I will have forgotten - d'oh
