Can we have more post limit to get into photos?

Noticed that you only need 5 to get into photo threads. I just wondered if it was possible to 'up' the limit.

I do understand it's not fair for the geniune members, but I noticed that someone who didn't seem to be who they said they were was able to access and comment on them. I just find that a little worrying.

i completely agree!! i was just thinking the exact same! i think the number should be quite high - yeh you may argue that people wont want to post and people come for advice and too shy to post and whatever else,but a genuine person will make an effort with the site.

That was my thoughts too Hayley, it isn't really as if you need to see pics if you need advice. We all seem to use the whole forum as a whole and we don't not post anywhere (if you see what I mean) so if we have some advice for anyone we will see it and help. i know people are too shy to post, I was one of those people once upon a time, but I know it sounds harsh but if we can't get an idea of who they are or if they are imposters I'd rather them not see pics of my kids.

Matter of fact I was just getting ready to ask Rob about upping the number as well....

Guys, I know it's really hard not to be nervous, but please know that we are so on top of things with people who are not who they claim to be, like Rich said in the other post, there are lots of things going on behind the scenes with vigilance to make sure we keep people like "sammie" off our forums. I'm nervous about the pics thing too and we all know I love to post pics! But! I am not going to let some sick cow faker terrorize me into not posting pictures.... It's so sad that some people feel the need to "steal" other people's lives or to make up there own by using other people's pics, but OUR babies are OUR babies as long as we keep them close to us physically, sick fricks like this can't "have" them.

We will OUT her/them in time.....

nah i fooled ya all this time!! i knew i could! them pics aint us... they are erm... they are dummys out of our local clothes store window! and erm... the dog.. erm,hes my neighbours and erm... this aint my computer (its kevs) ok now that bit is the truth!

I don't want anyone to feel that I think the mods aren't doing their jobs, my hubby was a mod and he often found himself having to sort out problems that arose from people abusing the net. He has come accross some nasty people in his time. One of his fellow mods was targetted for 'booting' someone who was a nasty piece of work from a forum. His email was hacked and they used his persona on other forums and abused the members pretending to be this moderator. It became too much for him and the abuse that he was given by members just for being a mod he jacked it in.

I am sure before the great server disaster of 2008 it was 10posts. You don't want to set the limit to high, i think, because newbies will want to post their pics. Maybe 15 or 20post.

i think 20 should be the limit,it aint too high yet its high enough that they would of been involved in some banter! like on here,this is just one thread and already we have all posted at least 5 times between us! it doesnt take much to get the posts up really

I've changed the minimum posts for access to the photo forum to 20 posts now.
