date/time of posts

Hayley_Kev Hayley_Kev said 5 months 1 week ago
do you know how the posts say'posted 1month 3weeks 2days ago'...can they be changed to the actualy date and time of post? as sometimes i get a little confused expecially when someone postson a really old thread when they havent noticed it was from ages ago! i find meself having to work out how long ago it was! and my blog! how im doing my preg blog - it doesnt say the date of my post it just says however many months/weeks/days ago i did it... which is gonna be a pain when i come to look back at it in months to come or maybe even when baby is here.

just read that and i dont agree with it!

Every forum allows you to pick your timezone +/- GMT, andthe forums server should automatically update according to BST and such.

again tho, its a pain in the ass for when i come to look back on my pregnancy blog and i aint got a clue when it was written unless i sit there with a calender and work it out meself! No

It has been this way since you joined.

In your blog why not put the date and how far gone you are- will help when you go back after the birth to see otherwise although you will know the date you would have to work out how far you were.

I think most people prefer the posts showing how long ago they were, instead of a date (which made everyone have to work it out all the time)

Although I agree that really old posts would be better to have a date, but it's so useful for new posts and it's either one or the other.

With blog posts though, I agree that it would be nice to have the actual date it was posted when you're reading the blog item - so that when you look back months later you can see the history.

I'll look into changing the date display on blog posts in the next few days.

(Oh, and thanks for your feedback! I always read feedback, and visit the forums every day although don't always post Wink)
