you can change your setting in yahoo to daily digest - only get one a day then. Although things seem to go really quick.

It's a shame really, because the concept is great - but Yahoo groups isn't easy to use for this purpose and they'd be better off implementing a better system, where people can update the original offer when the item has been taken, and items can be categorised better.

I guess as it's all a free service the budget isn't there to cater for that.

A friend of mine has used it quite extensively and has had a great experience with it. I looked at it though and came to the same conclusion as Rob, it seems a very long winded way of working.
Maybe I'll try again - it may have just been me being a bit dim!

I agree with Rob, great idea, but the system does not work that well in yahoo

yahoo is rubish Frustrated But its worth sifting through as there are some bargains to be had, and its a great way of sending your rubish to a good home. Clapping

I have also used Freecycle but the problem we have here is that people tend to give to the first people to reply so if you receive the digest you can miss out big time!!

I have also heard that some people have set up some sort of key word thing which automatically sends a reply to the offer so they get everything first Angry

Have got rid of so much stuff via this site though Thumbs Up

iv recently got rid of loads of things thru this! im de-cluttered now!! Clapping
but like whats already been said,i think the use of it thru yahoo groups is abit daft and it needs upating to encourage more people of all ages as i think it seems to only get the more mature people.maybe by making it into a funky forum and allowing posts to be edited rather than keep writing the same thing over n over!! Shrug
