can anyone help?

Hi, i was just wondering if anyone could give me some advice..when i put jessica-rose to bed she is fine and very settled then all of a suddon she will just sit up and start screaming and shaking is this normal or could she be having nightmares?

its very upsetting to see her in such a state and takies me ages to calm her down..is they anything that could help her sleep alot better?

Hey Nikki! Aaralyn has always had bad nightmares even as a young baby so that could be the same with Jessica-rose. I would (and still do) just go in and comfort her, snuggle her a bit and give her encouraging words until she'd fall back asleep.

Now that she's old, she has a dream catcher and a Turkish eye that "ward off" her bad dreams, I think it's kind of like a placebo effect for her, I tell her that they keep bad dreams away and she believes that so she doesn't have bad dreams seems to work as her dreams are not waking her so much anymore.

Could be night terrors. they seem awake but aren't really. If it is at the same time every night I think the advice is to wake them up so they are fully awake a couple of minutes before it normally happens and then let them fall back to sleep, breaks the cycle or something. for your dd.
