maternity grant

wots the maxium u can earn to claim the maternity allowance from social secrurity? im stummped my friend told me but dont think im entitled?

I was basically told because I wasn't in receipt of any benefits ie income support, working tax credit or job seekers I wasn't entitled to it. I'm not sure if it is any different now though.
