Hi, please can someone help me. I am 8 weeks pregnant with my first child. Yesterday I noticed light spotting and I went to A&E. They did some tests and said I was still pregnant and it was probably nothing to worry about but they have booked me in for a scan tomorrow. I have started spotting again today and I have slight discomfort in my groin (like with period pains but not painful). Please tell me what is going on. I am so scared I am going to lose my baby. Hi Hun i went through exactly the same@ 17 weeks and i was so scared, also went to a@e had examination, swabs etc then had to retun next day for scan, luckily everything was fine and there was no explained reason for the bleed, but still makes you worry, my sis in law also bled too hers was caused by a low lyin placenta which they will look for tomorrow when u get a scan,will be thinking of u hun fingers crossed all goes well x
Hey try not to worry. This happened to me and on saturday I saw baby for first time with scan beanie is a fidgeter like me. My MW said that this can be caused as your pregnancy hormones aren't yet as strong as our monthly ones and hence the weaker feeling of period pains.
Good luck with your scan tomorrow, I've also had bleeding in early pregnancy. You will be surprised how many women do and most go on to have a healthy baby.
i had this ,, i was 8 weeks went to AE doc felt my tummy asked me to do a wee sample but i could not wee had a scan few days later and saw little tiny bean with a big heartbeat i felt sick to my stomach with worry i really thought i was losing my little girl but she was born 11 days late of all things healthy and happy good luck darl all the best
Just an update. I went for my scan this morning and everything is fine. I got to see my little bean with it's tiny little heartbeat and everything was as it should be. They can see no reason for the bleeding. They also told me I am just 6 weeks 4 days.

nice 1 i got told it was just one of them things lovley to see them i have paiges 8 week scan in her baby book so i can show her when shes older they put my dates back as well from that scan
