do you go shopping at markets?

what do you buy there? we only have one local market and its on a thursday morning only i like to go for a wander round but only ever seem to buy socks or pretty ribbons for the girls hair as there stall amount is going down every week does anyone buy fresh fruit and veg from one?

I used to occasionally buy fruit and veg from a market near to ours, until one day Rob and I saw the guy from the market in our local Lidl buying all his stuff from there!! Couldn't believe it!! I always thought that when you buy fruit and vegetables from a market, that they came from a farmer or local supplier - obviously not!!

I do like the continental markets that come around though as I love buying unusual foods.

i am looking for a farmers market near us to try out. i know the prices will be more expensive but hopefully it will be better quality than the supermarkets

the only thing i buy from the market is ither unusuall clothes, or hair stuff, dont buy fruit n veg from there, i get vouchers so get them for free form asdas.
