We had a leaflet sent to us a few months ago and if we filled it in we could get them free, think we were sent a pack of 6. We use them in the hall, kitchen and bedrooms, but we have different kind of lights in the bathroom and we have ordinary in the sitting room coz they give better light.
I have the in bedrooms and toilet and bottom of landing, cant put them anywhere else because all other are light fittings and take spot light bulbs etc
Every room in the house, and if you go to Morrisons they are 39p each, Homebase are over £1.00 each
They only take a few seconds to brighten, but you can see perfectly well while they do. We have saved around £25 a month since we switched to energy saving bulbs, so I think that warrents a slower charge up, don't you?
Yeah, we've got them in all rooms as well now and you really get used to them quite quickly. My one criticism used to be that they all seemed to be huge but more and more you can get small ones now, ideal for bedside lights etc.
I get mine off ebay for a few pounds for a 4 pack - so far they've all turned up intact!
I have them in the living room and the hall(s) stairs and landing. Had to take them out the bedroom because whatever ones it is I have flash until the cool down. I also get annoyed at the way they take SSSSSSSSSOOOOOOOO long to heat up. I got mine free (4) from the electricity company because I was on a low income and then when I recommended someone else who I thought would qualify (little sister) I got another 2 (I do like a freebie )
i have few of these bulbs, but don't really like them. they are a different sort of light to normal bulbs (a bit too orange coloured) & they do flash occassionally after you switch them off, this can be quite off putting in the night time! also i have a few candle lamps & spotlights & you can't get them in this range.
