i must be thick honestly i can never manage to change the colour of my writing? w t f am i doing wrong

you have to highlight the text you want to change then use the font color dropdown... or if you pick a colour from the dropdown you can move the '[color=...]' bit to the beginning of where you want to change the colour and have the thing at the end. I hand-write the [color=... thing cos I like purple and it's not in the dropdown, so I just type it in with purple...[/color]
