thanks for all your comments!!
i totally understand the personalised t shirt thing and stranger danger - my nan has just got Isaac a man utd strip and he wanted his name on the back and my nan wouldnt allow it so he had to make do with ronaldo
LOL
Tallulah has a princess tallulah t shirt but she is never left alone as she is so young. i think personalised t shirts for older kids 7/8 who maybe are allowed a little freedom is maybe a bad idea - but to be honest it only takes an evil person to hang around long enough to hear the kids call each other by their names. Isaac hs been taught stranger danger at school and i emphasise the points of even if they know your name and know my name that doesnt make them friends. there is no one apart from myself and my husband that ever call the kids, pick up the kids etc... so Isaac would know something wasnt right.
and for parents who do have aunties, uncles, cousins, minders etc who pick up their children would possibly be worthwhile having a password in place with the child (not to scare them just for a sense of security) favourite tv character or something.
i am all for child safety and being aware but i cant be a parent who wont let them out of my sight. i am doing my best to teach Isaac to be responsible and aware (recently let him go to the shop on his own around the corner)
ALEX: have just received the old lady book and doll to put in my party plan sample box - we spent the whole day yesterday singing "there was an old lady who swallowed a fly...."
LOTTIE: the story sacks are fab - they are brilliant for making learning fun and having parent/child time.
