Workout Clothes versus Getting Dressed

posted 1 year 7 months ago
Do you get dressed around other moms or more hang out in work out clothes?

I have done both. When my child was younger I certainly practically lived in workout clothes. But just about a year ago I made the switch to dressing neatly again and it feels so good! I feel I've finally started to get back to my old self. But now the funny thing is I find there is such a difference between dressed moms and workout moms - like the styles are so opposite I sometimes feel overdressed in clothes and underdressed in sweats!

How do you dress when you are picking up and taking your child to their activities?

When my older kids were younger, I used to take all the time and care in the world to dress to impress. Over the years I have mellowed down and found that not only is it work to keep up with the trends, but the only thing that matters is how comfortable I feel on any different day for any different occasion. I no longer feel dressed-down when I am in my sweats because I love how it feels. I usually have some interesting accessories so it doesn't look like I've just stepped out of the gym. Feeling comfortable feels good whether I am dressed up or down.

I'm doing both. I like hanging out with workout clothes because it's more comfy.
