Still going to the gym and doing well!!!

My gyno has told me to wait 6 weeks before going to the gym,im thinking of going in the next two weeks (just cardio)no weights i have so many events coming up and i want to look good (but i dont)i now weigh 68 kilo's i have never in my life weighed more than 56 (not pregnant)im so short that every kilo makes me look like a munchkin from the land of OZ PMSL!!!!
I should be ok to start doing a light work out or should i just wait???? Shrug

i kno what you mean hun iv got 2weddings one on the 2nd aug and one on the 9th aug. and i weigh 15st 3lb. before i fell pregnant with charly i weighed 9st 8lb and was in size 10/12 clothes im now in 22/24 and it makes me feel errr.
but the way i look at it, il lose it when it wants to be lost and if no-one likes it they dont have to look. i dont even feel sexy anymore so i know how ya feel hun. just take it easy dont rush yourself or make yourself ill trying to lose it too quick.

Thanks hun,im going to go and do light cardio work outs then start weights in a month pitty it doesnt all just go away when we give birth LOL
I have also booked a pt for once a fortnight so i can get motivated and stick to a proper program designed for my body type i cant believe how much weight i put on this time Shrug

But i guess alittle will not hurt. I had so many stitches i could not anyway.

How mush did you put on? I put on 4.5 stone, still have about 9lbs to go and this last bit has not changed since March for some reason Confused

I thought i would just update you all.LOL
I go for 1 and a half hours in the morning and the same at night (not evry night though).I have so far lost two and a half kilo's and i feel so good although my body is constantly aching from doing my weight work outs.I am getting better at cardio which was my main aim at improving and the weight is just coming of slowly but surely (my pants dont stay up anymore) LOL.
Im really enjoying it and it helps that the staff in the creche are awsome and the kids love going. Thumbs Up

Sounds like you're doing well. Wish I had the time to go as often as you. I struggle to make it three times a week!

Oh believe me Owen i do struggle to get there LOL.I have had to change my whole family's routine just to make the time to go so it has been quite crazy around here lately Crazy .

Ok just another quick up date LOL.I havn't been to the gym since last week as i have been ill with the flue since Sunday.I did weigh my self that day and i now weigh 58 kilo's Clapping When i started on January 17th i think it was?? i weighed 67 kilo's Shocked so i am doing ok!!!We had Vic's birthday in between that time and we have another party tonight so i might have put on a little but i havnt been hungry coz of my flue so fingers crossed...
My weight before i got pregnant was 53 kilo which is just about right for my height etc.I feel as though i have plateaued but i can see muscle definition and i dont jiggle when i run on the treadmill anymore and i fit nicely into my pre pregnancy clothes LOL.
Finally i can see change. Thumbs Up

Congratulations! Sounds like its working for you. Wish I was able to commit the time that you do to the gym, then maybe it would make a bit of difference. Total weight loss since Christmas 0 kg. That is going 3-5 times a week and doing a mixture of cardio and weights, as well as my once a week kick boxing session. Just wish I could notice some change!!!

Keep at it Owen i got disheartened a while ago as i couldnt notice any change but then all of a sudden it started happening.I think its because i am taking it easy and doing it in my own time that i am doing so well.At first i had very high expectations like dropping all my pregnancy kilo's in a month (yeah right Embarassed LOL).
Just keep at it Owen at least you are getting out there and keeping fit. Thumbs Up

I thought id just update my post while im here again LOL.I am still going to the gym and doing well!!I have hit 56kg and i am feeling good.I go on the treadclimber for half an hour then do weights on day one.The next day i do body combat (martial arts moves but very fast lots of jumping around).On day three i go on the normal treadmil on an incline for half an hour i alternate running and walking this is a killer for me!!!I then do weights.I am trying to get there as often as i can but i have been going one day on one day off through winter then i will get back into it through summer.
I enjoy going so much its just hard on a rainy day i feel bad taking the kids out when its so cold and wet.

Congrats! I'm still sticking at it although no real progress yet. I've increased my cardio to try and help shed some of the weight so hopefully I might start to see some results at some point. Did 4 spin classes this week which gives me some really intense cardio, along with some running as part of my general exercise regime when I'm doing weights. I've been every day for the last 7 days so today is my day off.

Well done Owen!!Spin is a great cardio work out i used to love it but i really struggle to get to that class as its about the same time the kids have there dinner Sad
When i step up my cardio the weight just falls off thats why im so strickt about weights and toning at the same time.
Keep going Owen you have gotten so far and i think by the sounds of thingd you are enjoying it to LOL Whistling

I'm not sure about enjoying it. I'd just like to see some progress, is that too much to ask??? Either a bit of weight off, or some extra muscle somewhere.

Fortunately they have several spin classes each day during the week, some early morning (7am) which my body just doesn't funtion for, but I think they have one during the day and then a couple in the evening as well.

My main enjoyment is the kick boxing which gives me some interaction with other people which I completely lack in the rest of my life. Unfortunately the gym has stopped the class officially due to low numbers, but the trainer is keeping it going for free at the moment. We have got the numbers up a bit so maybe when they review it again in late August there might be enough of us to put it back on the programme and get the trainer paid again.

Ok so I am back to square 1. After going from 67 kilos after having Sam in 08 then dropping down to 52 kilos in 8 months, I have now in two years some how managed to gain 11kilos with out being pregnant (just being lazy)LOL. I am now back at the gym after a break. My starting weight this time was 63 kilos. I now weigh 59kilos so I have 7 more to go. I have my cousins wedding in September which will be spring so I am using that as my date to reach my goal. It is hard but I am getting there. I have just had two weeks of as the boys are on holidays but I have gone for walks and been eating quite well. I will be back at the gym every morning again starting from tomorow as the boys are back at school.

Ah the curses of weight gain. Brilliant you are back on track again but it is easy to let life get in the way of working out sometimes. I have majorly slacked over the past 8 months as I was busy with coursework. Well not so much slacked, just didn't have any spare time. My course has finished now and I'm intent on more frequent training again like I used to do. Y

You can do it; september is a realistic goal.
