Surrogacy .. excited but worried

posted 5 months 3 weeks ago
I made my mind on surrogacy.. and have some doubts if I made the right choice here? The problem is that's pretty difficult to organize the things here. So I had studied a number of various sites, forums, youtube videos, comments and feedbacks before decided to go into the process abroad. Actually I've chosen the clinic in Ukraine and hope that's the right thing to do. They provide several packages there and I don't know which one would suit me best. We agreed to fly there in two weeks and I'm really excited that our dream may finally come true after all those years of ttcing. But still I'm a bit worried about all that.
Has anyone had similar situation? Any advice would be appreciated

Hello, darling! My congrats for your decision to apply for surrogacy! It's an important step for achieving happiness. I don't know the reason but I can tell it was hard for you.
I also opted for Ukraine as a destination for surrogacy. My surrogate mother is on her 31th week.
I have already seen her. She is a nice woman and she takes care of herrself and our baby, of course with the help of our clinic.
What packages they suggest?

Wow.. ! Great to hear from you dear.. and successful experiences like yours makes me less nervous.. Thanks a lot for sharing it here.
Actually I was thinking about the standard package but we are not sure yet.. We'll listen to what the doctor recommends and then decide. I've just collected all the necessary documents from my doctor (medical history, ultrasound check-up and so on). He has wrote a letter stating his medical conclusion on why I can't carry a baby myself .. as I was asked to take such with me.. So, I'm getting ready for the trip now .. looking for the tickets..
What package have you taken BTW?

Good for you!
Don't forget anything!
You know this year Ukraine hosts Eurovision. Too bad you don't have a chance to come on Saturday you could visit it there. i'm sorry that's not what you're coming there for.
Standard package is very good! I chose it too, and also recommend it for you. It has medium price, not too high and you get all the services you need. Have you been told how long it will take to start the process with a surrogate mother?

Yeah, I've heard about evrovision and would like to be there this week too ..but unfortunately could not make it all with all those documents till this time ..
They told we would have to stay there only for 2 or 3 days. The driver is going to meet us at the airport and take us to the apartment .. Then we'll meet the manager and speak to the doctor. He has to study all the documents and medical histories and continue with extra check-ups and examination if needed. We have to take our final desicion on the type of the contract and sign it. Hope everything will go smooth

Yep, you are right .. that's Kiev.. We arrived here yesterday.. and are a bit busy with all the thing we have to go through.. So didn't have much time to write an update here.. But I do like it here so far.. Very pleasant place and everything is going quite well .. Though I still feel slightly nervous from time to time.. Will write everything in detail soon.. Thanks for your good wishes. Hope you are doing well there x

Of course, I understand you!
I didn't expect you write so fast! But I'm glad you found the time to update us here.
I'm fine. Also planning my coming to Ukraine. This time for the last stage of my journey.
I wish you a nice staying there!
Let me know what contract did you choose, ok?

We went for the standard surrogacy package. We liked all the terms and conditions there a lot. They cover all the expenses for food, accommodation and transportation, all our medical examinations if needed and the surrogate's as well.. and assistance in preparing the documents.. and an interpreter throughout the way. The payment that can be done in 5 parts... which is veeery convenient for us. Then we'll have pediatrician visiting us every other day and babysitter four hours a day..That would make us feel relieved after we take the baby to our hotel room and have it full time.. and taking care of it for the first time alone .. Too many nuances to take into consideration here.. but great feeling ..
Hope they'll help your dream come true in the nearest future too

Wow, good they supply all those services right within the packages. Happy you've made your minds finally and started the ball rolling. Looks like a decent place to go to. So what are you up to next? Could you please share some information on de ivfs if you have some of course?

Well, next we are to start the stimulation process. I mean since my ovaries were diagnosed to be in good condition we can have my eggs fertilized but put into the surro mother. We've got the necessary medicine to take it daily.. but have to wait a bit for my AF to start first. Then we still have to wait for a surrogate to be found. They say it won't take more than 2 months. Besides they have in their disposal quite large data base of those women who are ready to take up the program right now. But we should have our processes go simultaneously.. so have to wait now.

good decision
i can only tell you that if you go there, try to see the services of biotexcom clinic in central Kiev. you will find their services quite suitable for your use. the IVF offer and surrogacy package here will definitely favor your pocket.
they also receive patients at the airport and book them in hotels at their expense. good luck.

Hello dear,
i had the same issue and she had to look for a fertility specialist to enable me conceive. of all the other fertility clinics, the cost was too high, we she opted east to Ukraine. i underwent the most obvious corrective process of the disease and as we speak, i just came from biotexcom last week after a months stay. i'm glad to be back thought the whole stay did not cost us so much. the clinic took care of accommodation.
i have been booked for further care at the clinic which i'm willing to undergo. welcome to the the next cycle.

Wow! Thanks sherryme, for your insight. You have given the motivation and courage. I have always been thinking of the same clinics in Ukrain but I have not yet made my mind. The struggle and stress that I have gone through is beyond measure. I was deemed infertile some time back in my mid thirties and felt sorry formyself. I had to brace for serious challenges that include neglect and being assumed in my place of work. Currently, I am working like a hermit just by myself. I am glad for knowing there is somebody in this forum to encourage me. I am too thinking of surrogacy though it is so expensive in my country. That is why I am thinking of Ukranian clinics.
