An interesting weekend. As a belated valentine, Jono and I nipped off to a country pub in Oxforshire for a romantic treat. The hotel was lovely - roaring log fire, michelin-star food, cosy duvet and big fluffy towels. What more do you need?

Full of good intentions to enjoy good weather, walking in the Chilterns and getting plenty of fresh air and exercise, I fully succombed to the next symptoms of my pregnancy - tiredness. I managed to get up for breakfast on Saturday, but then retired back to bed for a 'quick snooze' prompted by over indulgence at the buffet breakfast bar. At 1pm, I ventured as far as the bathroom for a shower. But 1.15 saw me back in bed again. Another 40 winks at least gave me the energy to get dressed and finally Jono and I ventured out for a drive in the country. It got dark pretty soon after that.

I also had to finally accept something that has been troubling me greatly. I HAVE ACTUALLY GONE...

what is it about keeping secrets that's so hard? when Jono and I first found out we had a bun in the oven, we agreed that we wouldn't tell anyone until we were reasonably sure that things were ok. I gather this is pretty usual, and many people keep stumm until after the first scan.

Within 24 hours, I had blabbed to my friend Louise at work.
Within 25 hours, I had felt the need for family support and told mum and dad.
After 3 days, I couldn't help but blurt it out to my big sister, Steph, who told me off for not telling her sooner!
After a week, I told my boss, reasoning with myself that it was best that she knew in this early stage.

Obviously, I told everyone not to say anything.

- Steph told her boyfriend Jon.
- Jon told Jerry and Jan.
- Dad told Auntie Maureen.
- Mum told Auntie Jen (because dad told Auntie Maureen, so it must be ok!)
- I told Cathy...

I was just talking to Jono about whether constipation was normal at 6 weeks, when the midwife called. We've opted to go with Frimley Park rather than Royal Surrey as it can be a real pain getting to Guildford sometimes.

Anyhoo, the midwife seemed quite nice, but didn't hold back on telling me how busy they are. So much so that she can't see me for my first appointment for another 4 weeks. I guess that gives me more time to experience odd symptoms to ask her about, eh?

I've set up a baby ticker on babygaga.com where you can track the bump's progress. Cool, huh?

Login or Register to see posted images!

Jono thinks we should give the bump a name, but so far I've only c...
